From the number plate on the chaincase, it refers to a 9E 197cc 4 speed Excelsior model R10 R 11 from 1960, it clearly has a 250cc barrel and head on it, as you are probably aware, with these type of engines, they are clearly interchangeable with lots combinations of parts from different models, this has not been used for some time, but still turns over, and the kickstart has been welded on to the shaft, as the splines must have gone at sometime. Hard to find these days.
