BSA C10 1953

BSA C10 1953, 250cc side valve, with matching engine and frame numbers from the factory, was despatched to Ross and Hains, Calne, 11th May 1953. The bike has had a lot of money spent on it some time ago, but has been standing since and some of the chromework has deteriorated, but is still ok, the forks have had new bushes and oilseal holders. The wheels have been rebuilt with new chrome rims and are fitted with new tyres. The handle bars and levers etc are also new, as are the cables too, there is also a new regulator, seat, exhaust, primary chain, wiring harness, head light, switch, back light and rubbers. The engine and gearbox have also been overhauled, but again, not sure how long ago. The petrol tank although genuine is from an earlier one which would have had the speedometer fitted in it. There are some things missing, rear chainguard, speedometer, mudguards and maybe a few other small items, but can be easily sourced. There are no documents with it, but registration process is relatively simple with the help of the BSA owners club, they can issue you with a dating certificate for you to obtain an age related number from the DVLA. Overall a great project, far too good to break, as worth a lot more in bits.
